Harrow Branch Closing in early 2022

In January 2022, we will be closing the Harrow at Pembina Branch and transferring members to other convenient ACU locations based on where they live and do most of their banking.

The ACU Wealth Management team will move to 200 Main Street, ACU’s Head Office, between July 2021 and January 2022. An exact date will be announced closer to the move.

Andrea Dysievick, Chief Advice & Service Delivery Officer, explains that the decision to merge our Harrow Branch into surrounding Winnipeg branches is a result of the changing banking environment. 

“Although members continue to rely on ACU for advice, the preference towards digital channels for transactional needs has been increasing rapidly. This has been further accelerated by the pandemic. Members expect a consistent and compelling experience across all of the ACU channels they choose to interact with, in person and digitally; an efficient branch network is one of the ways that we deliver on that promise.”

Although members will transition to other branches based on where they live and bank, they can choose any of the 13 local ACU locations that is most convenient to them. There are four branch locations within a 13-minute drive of Harrow Branch:

• True North Square
• Pembina at Bairdmore
• Tuxedo
• St Vital:

As well, members can bank any time online, through the ACU mobile app, telephone banking, or at any Canadian credit union ATM.

For our Wealth Management members, our 200 Main Street location has ample underground parking and a more modern space for members to meet with their advisor. As always, the ACU Wealth Management team can meet members at other branches, or locations that are convenient for them. In 2020 many members have been meeting virtually with their advisors – a continuing option for them going forward.

Members belonging to the Harrow Branch and ACU Wealth Management me will receive a separate letter about the changes. Also, members with a safety deposit box at Harrow will be sent more information closer to the move date.
